A writer is invited to the stunning new rural retreat of
‘Britpop godfather’ Luke Haines.
However, in more ways than one, the invitation is
not what it seems. Rather than capturing the essence
of his new subject, as the writer imagines, he will
himself end up as a ‘spider underneath the glass’.
This genre-bending leap of the imagination takes us
on a thrilling and sometimes disorientating journey into
the unique world of a great song writer, and ultimately
into the very lair of his dark muse.
